Calling all Junior Snappers – the Search for the Fisher-Price Kid-Tough Top Tot Photographer has begun! Wannabe David Baileys should get their finger on the button as Fisher-Price launches a nationwide search for the Top Tot Photographer of the Year. Aiming to reveal talent from children as young as three, the competition calls up little snappers to send in their creative camerawork for a chance to win the title of regional winner, or even the national cash prize of £1000.
Photographers must be aged between 3 and 9 years old to enter and pictures must capture life in their town through their eyes, from pets and parks to gardens and coastlines. The eight most talented little photographers from regions up and down the country will see their work recreated as a giant poster in their home town. One national winner will be chosen from these to receive the cash prize and national title.
The competition is being held to celebrate the launch of the new Fisher-Price Kid Tough Digital Camera and organisers are expecting even the tiniest of tots to be sending in photos rivalling those of any adult expert. Jon Adams, competition judge and editor of Britain’s most popular photography magazine Digital Photo, comments:
“Kids aren’t tainted by the ‘rules’ of photography like adults, and this means they often shoot pictures that are truly refreshing and bursting with energy. This competition is a great opportunity for young snappers to express themselves, and see their work displayed in their home town.”
More information on how to enter can be found in Toys ‘R’ Us stores nationwide or at www.kidtough.co.uk.

What a great competition for children! I was just thinking about buying my 4 year old, Wilbur, a camera, when news of this competiton dropped into my inbox! I was trying to decide between the Kid Tough and the V-Tech camera, but I think this competition may have clinched the decision! What do you think of these cameras?
