Having monitored franchise enquiries closely during the build up to the election, we realised that the economic situation had caused a lot of people to be more cautious when considering franchises and other business opportunities, and rightly so. The advertising industry is one of many struggling with the effects of the recession. We have therefore been looking at ways to make our operation leaner so that we can keep expenses to a minimum and give you the best possible start to your business.

The fee to join our group is now only £1000 plus vat. This applies to all ‘virgin’ territories, whether you are in a large rural area or a wealthy city. On top of this there is a nominal annual fee of £100 plus vat per year (which may increase, but by no more than 10% a year), and we very strongly recommended that you pay £35 per month plus vat to use our versatile and efficient management software, which has its own unlimited technical support. And that’s all! There are no royalties or commissions and if you find out that publishing is not for you, you can simply cancel your agreement with us at any time.

You’d struggle to find a better value business opportunity with such flexibility, high earning potential and huge job satisfaction.

What is The Family Grapevine?

The Family Grapevine is a well respected and established local family magazine. We’ve been publishing since 1996 and our business opportunity is recommended by Business Opportunity Watch and included in both the 2008 and 2009 editions of their Best Home Business Opportunities Directory.

The Family Grapevine is a fantabulous free family phone book, supporting parents from the day they get the first twinkle in the eye, to the day when their teenager finally leaves home! The Family Grapevine is a wonderful resource for your community. Each edition contains hundreds of local phone numbers (often well over a thousand!) covering a huge range of subjects to interest inspire and inform families in your local area.

How does the business opportunity work?

Our business opportunity gives you the opportunity to publish your own local edition of the Family Grapevine. We give you our proven business model, loads of informal, but valuable help and support, a fantastic, well-loved brand – in fact everything you need to make a success of your new business!

We think it is important to clarify up front that The Family Grapevine is not an easy, part time option. It is a full time career opportunity. You can expect to work very hard and you will need a great deal of determination and tenacity, especially in the present economic climate. That being said, with hard work and consistent effort, you should be able to build your business up to provide a five figure income and a really rewarding lifestyle.

What will I earn?

That’s a difficult question to answer, mainly because we don’t require our members to tell us what they earn. What we do know is that some editors in our group work part time at The Family Grapevine and earn very little, but others use The Family Grapevine as their main source of income – in fact one or two are in the top tax bracket (that’s over £37,400 a year). At the end of the day, we give you the tools to run a lucrative business, but what you do with those tools is down to you. What if I change my mind?

Whichever route you choose, if you find out that publishing is not for you, you can simply cancel your agreement with us and stop paying at any time. Sorry but we don’t offer any refunds for two reasons: firstly, you will have learned a great deal from us, and secondly we don’t have any restraint of trade.

New members can expect to launch their first publication four to five months after joining (the longer the lead time the more likely that you can launch with a bigger splash and more potential profit).
